As a wedding photographer, I often get to witness beautiful celebrations, but Aistė and Roberto’s destination wedding in Lithuania was truly enchanting. Held at the beginning of summer, their love story unfolded against the breathtaking natural beauty of Lithuania, with vibrant blooms and warm sunset hues setting the scene.
Aistė and Roberto’s day began in a charming apartment nestled within the historic streets of Vilnius Old Town. Here, surrounded by loved ones, anticipation buzzed in the air as they prepared for their walk down the aisle. Before the ceremony, we drove to Trakai Vokė Manor for the couple’s photoshoot. The manor’s picturesque backdrop provided the perfect surroundings to capture their love story.
But before we continue to their wedding day in Lithuania, let’s rewind and discover how Aistė, a Lithuanian beauty, and Roberto, an Italian charmer, met. The couple first met in the vibrant and historically rich city of Bologna in Italy. They met under the porticos of Via San Vitale in Bologna while passing by each other. They were both students and were out partying on a Friday night. A friend of Aistė stopped a group of guys to ask for a lighter, one of the guys was Roberto. They started chatting and the rest is history.
Though they are now based in Italy, Aistė and Roberto tied the knot in Aistė’s home country. Their wedding planners searched for the perfect venue to accommodate 60 of their nearest and dearest guests, who arrived from all over Europe to celebrate their special day and to showcase the picturesque Lithuanian countryside and all it has to offer in the summertime. Their wedding aesthetic was inspired by nature and the stunning shades of Lithuanian summers, described as having a vibe of “fresh and young elegance.”
Aistė made a show-stopping style statement on her wedding day wearing an A-line gown covered in dramatic lace with a sweetheart neckline, a bodice, and a majestic skirt adorned with eyelash lace trims. She added a beautiful botanical twist with a delicate flower crown of white and pink blooms, complemented by a blush veil and chic patent cream Mary Jane heels. Her bouquet featured a refreshing palette of white and sunset-shaded flowers. Roberto exuded dapper groom inspiration in his three-piece navy suit, paired with a grey geometric print tie, crisp white shirt, and black patent brogues.
They chose the resort of Aerodream near the peaceful Trakai area, renowned for its glittering lakes and unspoiled forests, as their wedding venue. Immersed in beautiful natural surroundings, the resort’s rustic aesthetic, with its eight luxury log cabins nestled among sprawling grounds, perfectly suited their vision. Their ceremony unfolded outdoors, bathed in the warm glow of the summer sun, surrounded by towering trees casting dappled shade.
Floral ceremony displays are always a swoon-worthy choice, even if they’re of the more subtle variety. Rituals played a significant role in making their ceremony special and memorable. The couple opted for a handfasting ritual using a symbolic Lithuanian band. They also did the Sa Ratzia, the breaking of a plate in accordance with Sardinian traditions. It involves a plate prepared with items such as rice, coins, confetti, shredded paper, or petals symbolizing wealth and well-being. The task is entrusted to the mothers of the bride and groom: they have to break the plate by throwing it against a hard surface to reduce it to a thousand pieces. This signifies the break with the past life and is considered a good omen for a successful marriage.
The couple’s reception took place in a light-filled venue, where Aistė stunned in her reception dress – a short wedding dress adorned with oversized floral lace and sweet puff sleeves. Festoon lights overhead and bright blooms dotting the tables created a relaxed and romantic vibe. They opted for a textured tiered wedding cake dappled with white and pink roses, and their first dance to “Real Love Baby” by Father John Misty added to the enchantment of the evening.

Kaip vestuvių fotografė esu mačiusi daug nuostabių švenčių, bet Aistės ir Roberto vestuvės Lietuvoje buvo išties kerinčios. Jos vyko vasaros pradžioje, kvapą gniaužiančioje Lietuvos gamtos apsuptyje, tarp spalvingų žiedų ir šiltų besileidžiančios saulės spindulių.
Aistės ir Roberto diena prasidėjo jaukiame apartamente, vienoje iš istorinių Vilniaus senamiesčio gatvelių. Čia, artimųjų apsuptyje, laukimo jaudulys tiesiog virpino orą. Prieš ceremoniją nuvykome į Trakų Vokės dvarą jaunavedžių fotosesijai. Vaizdinga dvaro aplinka tapo puikia vieta jų meilės istorijos įamžinimui.
Tačiau prieš tęsiant pasakojimą apie gražuolės lietuvaitės Aistės ir žaviojo italo Roberto vestuves Lietuvoje, turėtumėte žinoti kaip jie susipažino. Pirmą kartą pora susitiko Bolonijoje, judriame ir istorija alsuojančiame Italijos mieste. Jie prasilenkė po Via San Vitale gatvės portikais dar būdami studentais. Tai buvo penktadienio vakaras ir visi linksminosi. Aistės draugė priėjo prie būrelio vaikinų (vienas iš kurių buvo Roberto), ir paprašė žiebtuvėlio. Tarp Aistės ir Roberto užsimezgė pokalbis, o visa kita – istorija.
Nors dabar gyvena Italijoje, Aistė ir Roberto susituokė Aistės tėvynėje. Vestuvių planuotojos ieškojo idealios vietos jauniesiems ir jų 60 artimiausių svečių. Atvykusių iš visos Europos švęsti jų ypatingos dienos ir pasigrožėti vaizdingąja Lietuvos gamta bei viskuo, ką ji gali pasiūlyti vasaros metu. Jų vestuvių estetiką įkvėpė gamta ir stulbinantys lietuviškos vasaros atspalviai.
Vestuvių dieną Aistė atrodė stulbinančiai vilkėdama A formos suknelę, išpuoštą dramatiškais nėriniais su širdies formos iškirpte, pabrėžtu liemeniu ir didingu sijonu, papuoštu blakstienų nėrinių apdaila. Ji pridėjo gražų botaninį akcentą su subtilia baltų ir rausvų gėlių karūna, papildyta rausvu šydu ir stilingais lakuotais kreminės spalvos Mary Jane aukštakulniais. Jos puokštėje atsispindėjo gaivi baltų ir saulėlydžio spalvų gėlių gama. Roberto spinduliavo pasitempusio jaunikio stiliumi, vilkėdamas trijų dalių tamsiai mėlyną kostiumą, suderintą su pilku geometrinio rašto kaklaraiščiu, baltais marškiniais ir juodais lakuotais batais.
Vestuvių vieta jie pasirinko Aerodream sodybą ramiame Trakų krašte, kuris garsėja žėrinčiais ežerais ir nepaliestais miškais. Apsupta gražios aplinkos, sodyba su aštuoniais rąstiniais nameliais, išsidėsčiusiais didelėje teritorijoje, su dideliu baseinu, puikiai atitiko jaunųjų norus. Jų ceremonija vyko lauke, šiltoje vasaros saulės šviesoje, apsupti aukštų medžių, metančių margą šešėlį.
Gėlių dekoracijos ceremonijos vietoje visada yra puikus pasirinkimas, net jei jos ir subtilesnės. Tradicijos atliko svarbų vaidmenį, kad jų šventė taptų ypatinga ir įsimintina. Pora pasirinko humanistinę santuokos ceremoniją ir rankų surišimo ritualą, naudodama simbolinę lietuvišką juostą. Po ceremonijos taip pat buvo atliktas „Sa Ratzia“ ritualas – lėkštės sudaužymas pagal Sardinijos tradicijas. Jame naudojama lėkštė su tokiais elementais kaip ryžiai, monetos, saldainiai ar žiedlapiai, simbolizuojantys turtą ir gerovę. Ši užduotis patikima jaunųjų mamoms: jos turi sudaužyti lėkštę, mesdamos ją į kietą paviršių, kad sutrupėtų į tūkstančius šukių. Tai reiškia atsisveikinimą su ankstesniu gyvenimu ir laikoma geru sėkmingos santuokos ženklu.
Poros vakarinė šventės dalis vyko šviesioje ir erdvioje salėje. Čia Aistė sužibėjo savo trumpute vestuvine suknele, puošta dideliais gėlių nėriniais ir mielomis pūstomis rankovėmis. Girliandos virš galvų ir daug ryškių spalvų žiedų ant stalų sukūrė jaukią ir romantišką atmosferą. Jie pasirinko vestuvinį tortą, papuoštą baltomis ir rožinėmis rožėmis, o pirmasis jų šokis pagal Father John Misty dainą „Real Love Baby“ dar labiau padidino vakaro žavesį.
Aiste ir Roberto, iš visos širdies dėkoju, kad leidote man būti jūsų kerinčios vestuvių šventės dalimi! Įamžinti jūsų meilės istoriją buvo absoliuti privilegija ir garbė.
